About Dolls by Doris

Dolls have played a major role in my life since I was a child and because of this, I don’t consider this a job but a fun time in my life.  I began sewing as a young child being taught to embroider by my maternal grandmother.  After completing she would crochet an edging making these very special keepsakes.
 
I began my business in 1976, as “Dolls by Doris” making dolls.  After many years of making dolls I began making Cabbage Patch Kids clothing and later into American Girl clothing.  Having two granddaughters who also love dolls encourages me to think of many ways to make other little girl’s dreams come true.
